Looking for a convenient but challenging round-trip experience?
Just follow these Gateways to our great back roads.
Xenia Station Loop (approximately 33 miles): begin and end just south of downtown Xenia on U.S. 68 (Detroit Street). Most of this loop is on rural routes with very little traffic, most hills can be quickly overcome, and a third of it runs alongside the Ohio to Erie Trail.
Spring Valley Loop (approximately 21 miles): begin and end in Spring Valley’s Walton Park near the S.R. 725/U.S. 42 intersection, adjacent to the Little Miami River Scenic Trail. Most of this loop is also along rural roads with very little traffic and includes just a few long hills.
Yellow Springs Loop (approximately 33 miles): begin and end at Yellow Springs’ replica train station on the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Most of this loop is also along rural roads with very little traffic, witrh only a few hills of any challenge.
